A moment with a friend

Don't stray from this moment .

Lead me into your song,

no matter how long

Feed me the lotus flower, that

brushs away the dust of time

Born for this moment to

hear your sound, which

can not be made by

anyone else,

I lift my voice with you.

Only with you do I

forget the dust of time

that has made me

unsteady.

So, this poem comes from a collection of many of my experiences with friends. Good friends are people with whom you can forget about anything that is stressing you out and be the happiest care-free version of yourself. I have many friends who are all unique in their own way. They literally make me forget time. The reference to their "song" and me "lifting my voice" with them refers to a tendency of ours to sing a lot and just be musical when we are in a good mood. :) I hope this poem is appreciated by anyone who can relate to having great friends!

-Thanks for reading

Muneerah
