A Moment of Reality

Sleep evades me. It slips away: Minute by minute, Hour by hour. Time continues, But my sleep patterns do not. My dreams are set aside, And my thoughts come storming. Like wind, Whirring. Blowing. Swirling, All in a mass of air, of thought. Of ideas. In one gust they all are calm, Set aside. And my dream world takes over once again, Lifting me off the ground for another try.
