As the Moment Will - Part 4

Standing silently on the edge of the earth I hear the calling and I see the fall The blackness shrouding knowledge I’ve yet to hone And still I stand waiting for my time to come Memories surround me like clouds in the sky Grays float low and Whites fly high Sometimes I cannot reach the good days of old So I sit and count what my hands already hold The more I learn, the more I crave The more I doubt that humans can be saved I try to find many answers within my being But the questions keep coming like the harsh rain of treason On this edge, I’ve learned to spread my wings So if I fall, I can float down with a lonely ease My time is near, I’m speaking clear As my eyes adjust to the darkness I do not fear
