Moments

Time is just a number Years just lie within Hours tick – tick – ticking Days becoming dim Laughing with your best friend A sunset at the beach So long ago they may have happened, Yet they don’t feel out of reach You could have fooled me into believing That it happened yesterday So clear, so vivid, so sharp in my mind It was ten years ago today In comparison to all one’s life A raindrop in a pond How can something so minute Like a moment be becalmed? Everlasting is what they seem Those moments that speed on by Time is never stopping, But those memories never die
