moments by measure

same old,

same new.

you look back

and boom.

everything has changed.

but where?

you woke up the same as yesterday.

but

your hair is longer,

your body is older,

your mind is wiser.

lessons are learned.

perspectives are flipped.

destinies are fulfilled.

all these little experiences,

little moments:

they make a person.

not the years

that pass by.

years are merely

measurements of change.

Our world
