Momma

If I was stranded on a deserted island what would I do?

I can only pick one thing, but I sure can think of a few.

Would I NEED this fancy phone? Will I NEED these new shoes?

My mom would tell me no, so listen is to her is what I’d do.

She talks the sense into my head, well now it’s more like logic,

She’s brought me this far by herself, so I doubt she’s going to stop it.

We’ve been up and down stream, at times without a paddle,

And on this journey we call life, we’ve overcame some tough battles.

We’ve been deserted our whole life’s, making a way for ourselves,

Her and I together, no need to worry about much else.

So stiffen up that upper lip, turn that frown upside down

I can hear voice telling me this right now.

Nothing else can replace her, not one human nor one thing

It’s going to be me and my momma, that’s who I’m gunna to bring!

My family
