Momma's Brave Soldier

She makes life way to simple

Get a job

Drive a car

Grow up

Those three statements utter all too different in my ears

I've known right from wrong for quite a while

I've known what is to be done

all throughout my life

Obstacles is the only weakness in my blood

Life would run far too smoother if my own credit was given

But I lack in way too much

A girl with a bad begining

an untolerable middle

and I am still waiting for the end

My soul travels travels everywhere looking for love and compassion

But it comes back home to me late at night empty

I wonder why me

Why did I have  to live in this body and have this dehydrated soul

A soul that appears useless and small

How does she expect me to do these simple tasks?

When I wake up every morning with the courage to face the world

With the strength to conquer the comments and ignorance

of a judgemental world.
