The necklace

Dearly held to my heart

With the power the devils despise

My necklace stands its place

Never left my side regardless from the homland to america

From addis abbeba to dc, snowstorms to summer beach days

Given to me by my mother

On it was a cross

Where Jesus was crucified

both to ptotect me

Resembling her love towards me

My necklace in place of her presence
