Mommy makes it happen

Tue, 06/25/2019 - 14:15 -- HN1128

I just turned 19 on November 28

On December 18th I was a couple days late

My sister said “Get a test, it’s probably nothing”

But deep down I knew it was something

I took a test and said a quick prayer

But I wasn’t prepared for those two little lines to appear

I cried, I laughed, I jumped, I screamed

I was too young and I wasn’t ready

OH NO! I still have to tell your daddy

We were soon filled with joy

We picked out names

What if it’s a boy!

Our excitement we couldn’t contain

As my belly grew and you started to move

I knew it was time to make a decision

My baby needs a home

A place to call our own

But daddy was now out of the equation

Mommy grew up

Daddy still stuck

What was I going to do?

I got us a place

Before seeing your face

Because I knew you were what was important

The day finally came

To put use to your name

My little girl Elianna La’Nae

My light in the darkness

My baby, my love

Who knows where I’d be without you?

The challenges I went through in such little time

Were all worth it because you are my sunshine

Every time I look at you and think of the things I’ve been through

My little girl you are my passion

I just want you to know that in my forever with you

Mommy will always make it happen
