Mommy, Mommy

Mommy, Mommy,

have you found the strange thing that caused

Daddy's turn around?

I've searched high and I've searched low,

but I can't find what changed him so!

Mommy,

Johnny said he knows what it is that makes people change the way daddy did.

He says it's Satan that tells them lies and convinces them to leave their wives.

He says there's a man who makes it right,

that only God can make daddy see the light.

I know you don't believe in him, that he can fill you to the brim.

I went to church with Johnny Sunday

And there I chose to start to pray.

I know you feel Like Church is only for pricks who steal,

but I went

and Jesus changed my life.

Mommy, Mommy, do you see me now?

I'm at church camp learning how

God gave his son to bring me back.

Mommy, Mommy, I've found a man

Who'll never leave me, unlike dad.

God will help us,

keep us together,

And because of Jesus,

We'll be together forever!

Mommy, Mommy, can't you see?

God loves you,

And God loves me!
