Monday

They despise me: All of them.

They dread me: All of them.

They try so hard to avoid me

But I always come.

And when I do,

They dread the day when I return.

Thursday, they don’t mind Thursday.

Thursday is right before Friday

And they love Friday.

Friday, Friday, Friday.

I can’t wait until Friday comes.

That’s all I hear, that’s all they say.

Then there’s Saturday.

Even more loved than Friday.

Saturday is filled with fun.

Saturday is always looked forward to.

Sunday is nice, too.

Sunday is relaxing and calm.

But then there’s me, Monday.

Time to go back to work,

Back to school.

Another horrible, tiring Monday.

They hate me: All of them.
