Money Matters None Tonight
Money talks and bullshit splatters
People ask me, what's the matter
Why you hawking, hard and vocal
Keep your damn opinions local
In my ears, not trying to hear it
Trump-anomic, I don't fear it
Got a job that pays me plenty
Skills I have, gets more than pennies
Other means, perverse the city
What you what, go out and get it
If it's hard, don't try to skirt it
Get your ass in gear and work it
Lazy bones don't fill the larder
Clothe your son, or feed your daughter
Three months due, the landlord's piss
Says, pay me now, or pack your shit
Banks won't help, your credit sucks
Wife just left you, darn the luck
What comes next, yes, Child Support
Wife's got the kids, the house and Porsche
Life's no joke, it's so for real
Short on cash, but long on bills
Had a business, but, lost that too
The IRS has eyes on you??
Suicide seems mighty tempting
Botched that too, and now you're limping
No ideas left, you've fallen hard
Here's a thought, son, pray to God
All your burdens, He will shoulder
Make you wise, as you grow older
Heals your wounds, both mind and body
Now's the time, so, let’s get started
Prince once said, and got it right
Money don't matter, none tonight
