Money Talk

Money Talk

All this Money Talk

It’s changed the way I think

The way I see things

The way I see you

I’m not in my right mind anymore

I hate this money talk

The privileged really do prevail

You all prevail

Don’t worry, this won’t be the first time I’ve lost

50 grand, do you have that by chance?

I feel like punching everything I see

Don’t take it personal

I’m just in that state of mind

Angry out of my mind

I wanna see you in my place

I wanna see you wear my shoes

I’m just dealing with these things the best way I can

Don’t look at me like you don’t know me

Maybe you don’t know me at all

Maybe that’s because there aren’t a lot of my kind around here

I guess that makes most days bad days

I guess you can try to calm me down

But I’ve down the this whole time and life completely sucks right now

There’s a reason I’m saying all of this

White really does prevail

I guess I’m just on the wrong team

I’m losing myself in this money talk

All this talk, talk, talk, talk

I wish college was free for all

Who said this was the land of the free

Nothing’s free, nothing’s ever free

Money talk takes me away from my goals

Takes me away from my dreams

Money talk will be the end of me

Life is an empty jar

Not even a penny or nickel…..

In my jar….

I want to learn

To live a good life

But money talk

Oh money talk kills that hope
