monotony.

the sound of silence

broken up by

the buzz of my Grindr

or the sounds of neighbors moving things

hammering

the gentle, omnipresent hum

of the refrigerator compressor

it's chilly days in april that

my depression kicks in hard

intertwines itself with laziness in the corner of the dance floor

              *off to the side*

and together they begin to kiss sensually

meanwhile i am stuck at home

trapped within the limits of my own neurosis

swaying to and fro in a danse macabre with my meds

so that i can do it all over again

tomorrow
