Monster
A monster inside
I knew it was there
Not trying to hide
But I disguised without care
How did I not embrace this being full of power?
Seemingly scary to oneself,
I am not frightened,
I am excited,
Until I see a bigger beast within another
And my own monster seems to sit down and have a talk,
Explaining its existence
And all I can do is listen and watch it grow,
Bigger!
And then it stops,
Anticipation high,
It wants more,
Needs more,
Never will it have enough!
But I will give it all I have
Because we are friends,
Me and the beast
