Monster
She looks in the mirror,
And stares at the bruises.
She fights back the tears,
Because he will see it as weakness.
Too scared to say no.
Too scared to fight back.
He just smiles because he knows.
His flesh would never say a word
Nor his submissive wife.
One flesh thinks it is only one way
To receive his attention.
One flesh wants to fight,
And wants to rub away.
While his wife hides her hatred
Behind a smile sugarcoated with a yellow, bitter taste.
He gets angry with the defiance.
He loses his temper so quickly.
Unaware, he is impacting his blood in different ways.
She finally leaves him.
One blood will be messed up
Even thought he tried to harm in the womb.
While the other blood has a wall chained up
That only a few have the code to.
His wife goes back to an abusive man,
But not abusive with words
She paints a jaded smile
To hide the pain
That make-up cannot cover up.
To a women who tried to be strong,
But relied on her own.
To stay strong.
She knows that all scars and bruises
Are not always external/
She also knows one child will suffer more external than internal.
While one will suffer more internal than external.
Thanks to a monster.
