Monster
You have no money,
but you've got a car.
From the looks of it you won't get very far.
You've got brains,
but no diploma.
You won't use your head, cause you know better.
You have "no regrets",
written on your arm,
but you have so many things to be sorry for.
You have a heart,
but you refuse to use it.
You're afraid someone like you,
will abuse it.
You looked like you wanted attention,
but what you yearned for was to be heard.
But how could we hear you,
over your roar?
Over your screams?
Over you running away from your mistakes and dreams?
You want to be like everybody else.
And you want everyone to forget,
to move on.
But I will never forget,
the monster down the hall.
