Monster
We were friends; I truly believed this.
We met in class one day, it was meant to be.
I'd go to your house, and we'd go out to eat.
I'd want to watch a movie, and you'd want to go out.
You'd call me and I'd text you back.
You made me feel special.
We were friends; I wanted to believe this.
We weren't though, were we?
You wanted something from me, something I didn't even know I had.
You invited me to your house that night.
I answered your call.
I arrived innocently and happy to be with you.
We are not friends; I know this now.
We will never be anything, I will make sure of that.
I wasn't safe in your arms anymore; when you asked me to get into position.
I felt in my heart the death of my dream, the truth in your heart.
You just wanted my innocence.
You are the monster.
