Monster

Her soul cries out in the form of blood,

Life is her razor cutting her through and through.

A girl so young yet mature beyond her years,

Life has delt her a hand so rough.

No one there.. No others to understand,

Broken beyond the point of return.

Her soul shattered as if she had been beaten,

words from a young girl driving through and through.

No one gets her hurt.. no one gets her pain,

they look into her eyes seeing nothing.

Gaurding herself she stays locked inside,

Hiding the hurt and pain they all caused.

For what would you say if you knew,

would you apologize trying to heal her wounds.

would you pull her into your arms,

or would you just look away from what you've done

Leaving behind the beautiful monster you've created.

"We don't read and write poetry because it's cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And the human race is filled with passion. And medicine, law, business, engineering, these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for."
