Monster
Today would have been your third birthday, but you were stolen from me too soon by a monster who didn’t cherish you like I did.
Every cell in my body screams in pain when I think about the hurt and pain you endured. How he slowly drained the life from your precious, soft, innocent body until you became an empty, lifeless shell.
I writhe on the floor. It’s not fair! It’s not fair! You were not his to take away, you were mine. How can monsters exist in this world? I thought they only lived in the movies, but they are here in my world.
Soon, I will face my monster in court and I will see the face of a man Ionce trusted to love the child I love. I walked with this evil monster on my streets in my town. I let him in my home. I ate with him. And he destroyed my sweet angel.
I scream out God, why did you allow this to happen? But God weeps with me. He did not allow it. Man hurts man.
When will the spinning in my head end?
When will the black force in my heart become soft and pink again?
When will I catch my breath?
When will I close my eyes in peaceful respite?
It will only end when we are joined together once again sweet child and I am yours and you are mine.
