Monster House

My body is a house that has had the electricity to it turned off for years.

They came to me and put up a vacancy sign, telling everyone that the building was "under construction until further notice."

The entrance to my driveway has been covered by all of the debris that everyone has left behind.

Not a part of me,

but slowly becoming one.

But you,

The tires of your car crushed the debris,

and you turned on all of the lights inside- proving everyone wrong.

Except,

There are a few lightbulbs that still flicker,

and there's still that leak in the roof.
