The Monster in Me

Looked in the mirror, saw ugly

I wasn't surprised that I thought it was me,

What have I become? An anybody not a someone.

Makeup, can't blush my anger or cover my flaws.

Can't find myself  in glitter trying to live without it all.

It's the monster in me that creeps through the cracks of my soul, untamless,

insecurities begin to unfold.

It's the beast in me that growls each day, roars out what I think and dictates what i say.

The monster slowly walks, I let myself go, so again i will allow the monster to stalk.

Beware of the temptations of the world, for there is a monster that lives inside each and every girl.
