Monster of the night

It grows restless in the night Rummaging through the past to find a light Something that could spark the fire that once burned Everything's different and many lessons learned Still something is missing Around it looks as if a sign will appear And for a moment there's hope, which will soon disappear Trapped in a never ending cycle to find a feeling And for a time many things seem appealing But still restless in the dark The relentless search seems to never end Until the night its last breath it did send
