Monster (Part 1) 1st person P.O.V

Tossing back and forth, his eye lids shut tighter. Sweat glazes his face as he’s struggling to wake up from his dream. Perhaps a night mare. “No!” He mumbles, gripping the sheets. His heart is beating so fast, he’s afraid it’ll explode. He wakes up. Sometimes, he would forget where he was. Unfortunately, he would never forget his nightmares that put him in the situation. They seems so real, he fears once he close his eyes to sleep, he may never wake up again. Are his nightmares of things that have happen to him? They live inside his imagination but seem to carry a much stronger meaning.  Suddenly, his bed shakes as if something or someone is under his bed. He knew well enough of what it was than who it was.

Sometimes I’m jealous of him because he’s able to hide

Most of the time, I fear his very existence

However, I wonder if he was once innocent and made himself angry to this result

Does he hide because he’s ashamed? Ashamed of what he has become?

Maybe the boy will stay out of his room until midnight is over. Probably get a drink of water and look through the fried for the remaining time. Leaving his bedroom is a relief. Out of all the rooms available, the monster is most comfortable with his bedroom. “I’ll ask my mom to switch rooms…” the boy whispers to himself. He’s afraid of thinking without speaking aloud because he knows the monsters capabilities. After the 15 minutes were up, he decides to go back into his room to check things out. Underneath the bed looks fine and nothing looks disturbed. He proceeds. However, the feel of the bed pressing against his back feels different. A feeling he has never endured. Not pain. Not confusion, but…
