Monster Pt. 1

I felt my heart drop

when I saw her.

The green monster

slowly crept up

My back.

I tried to shake him

But couldn't.

I felt shame that he was there

And he was only there

because of how I felt.

I saw her,

in all perfection

And the monsters claws

Dug deep into my back

Refusing to let go.

Why is she here?

I don't want her here,

And yet she is.

I put on a smile and

a show.

But the monster was there.

Lurking in the shadows.

Hungry to come out.
