The Monsters

They are kaleidoscope prisons like angry bars of misshapen notes and off-key chords in chorus LOUD like thunder in your corneas what madness drives their energies – sonic systems on overdrive running on sleepless paranoia – (Ritalin and amphetamine) you are this shell and habitation a zoo of leftover powerhouses – your eyes, simple aquariums (heterochromic!) of stratospheric energy they beckon like sirens LET ME FREE LET ME FREE they tear houses from their structures take feet to cliff edges and dare for reactions in the name of YOUR GODDAMN REALITY sinking acid beakers sinews tied to metalwork – TELL ME WHAT IS REAL you touch only hallucinations dreams are fragrant lies and vivid lost formalities -- Stop now, stop now put down your psychological guns, now I have you, here you’re safe now Trust me, please yes do, now NO – screams the banshee you are not what I signed up for.
