monsters

once upon a midnight dream
on a dark and icy night
the silence shattered once again
with a nightmare induced scream
don't close your eyes
don't go to sleep
all your dreams
are not but lies
are you afraid of the dark
are you afraid of monsters
this dog's bite
is bigger than his park

claws on granite
a smell so sweet
should you be afraid
well, who isn't?
