MONSTERS

MONSTERS

When you're young you become afraid of the monsters living in your closet and under your bed
But they never warn you about the monsters that can take over inside of your head.
The monsters in my head are much more frightening
They will not leave and they are not inviting.
My tear stained pillow is a result of their attacks
Anxiety and depression are difficult to crack
Until you've walked through them, then you will know
You feel you'll never get better and you'll never grow.
