The Monsters

The monsters aren't under my bed

They are trapped in my head

The monsters don't live in the dark

They live mixed in with all of my thoughts

The monsters aren't trying to hurt people or scare little kids

They are trying to remind me that no one will love me, no one will care

The monsters are real

No matter what everyone else says

The monsters aren't under my bed

They are trapped in my head
