Monsters

The lights along the dark city street shine along the messy streets and houses that line it. I walk along the empty street. Noises from the city fill the air. Conversations and loud yells coming from all different directions from different houses. We all are seeing different things from different sides of our views. They have someone. But those relationships and friendships always lead to something that affects us in our life. That's why I really don’t talk to people. I stand afar, watch, analyze, and study them. I don’t like to feel hurt or feel pity for people, etc. I had my share of them and I'm done. In this world, people let others in for their own emotional use. But in a period of time they end in heartbreak and emptiness. We let this happen to ourselves to feel comfort for moments, but they never last. People love falling in love but falling in love means breaking your walls down, giving yourself to that person and opening yourself and your heart to them just for them to break it. It’s better to find independence and yourself than find compassion. But then there is me, Alone, no family, no friends, just me. I never said I like it, but I'm better off that way. It’s probably around 1am now, I'm still walking the empty streets. I know it can be dangerous but the  quietness is what people are intimidated by, so they let me be. As I walk, I see a couple kissing along a building. I look at them, the couple aren’t in love. In fact they are probably both cheating on each other. The way they hold each other and kiss, it’s not a way any couple could hold each other as if they were in love. They hold each other just for need, for their own sexual desires. This shows though, us as people use others just for their own desires, not for having something special in their life. To make memories and share laughs. But truly we do that, but it hurts us because we know how damage feels for it reflects off to us. Then we crave for something true and real but they never get that. You can’t get something until you change into what you want first. There you will attract the same energy that you let out. An hour passes and it’s around 2am. Red and blue flash in the distance. Anything can happen in a city. As I look out to it, something must have happened. I stand at a far distance in the shadows. I watch the scene and it seems like someone is injured. I may not know what happened but I do know it is nothing good. I then take a right and head up these stairs. I open the door and go inside. I turn on the lights in my home. I sit on the couch, and all I can do is think. I think about today, from what I saw from my day. I think about my past and things I've done. See we all fear monsters in this world. But I don't think I would ever come to a realization for who I am, and what I’ve done. I am who people fear, Why they don’t talk to strangers, why they don’t come out during the night unprotected, why they don’t trust easily. For I am that monster they fear.
