Monsters in Mirrors

Ladies and gentlemen, come circle on in,

Here’s a marvelous creature of wisdom and sin.

Not too close to the cage, for she’ll scratch and she’ll bite

But everything changes when we turn off the light.

She’ll dance in the dark with her bones broken in.

To the left, to the right, and side step to begin.

Like a bullet through water, she’ll slow and she’ll tire

‘Til we light up a match, and at last, she’s on fire.

Please, don’t mind the smoke, in fact, breathe me in.

Now look in that mirror at your hideous grin.

If you hunger for more, you may sharpen your teeth

Bite as hard as you want, there’s flesh underneath.
