Months

For months,
I have not heard the sound of your voice
And I have not seen
The creases in your smile.
And
The sun rose,
But it didn't shine.
And although there was happiness in my grin,
It was not found in my eyes.
Without your chains,
I was not broken free-
Just broken .
And I just wished for you to come back..
After all of those months,
In the slightest second that I heard your voice-
Once again,
I knew that I was home.
