Montreal Winters

A tall city stands silent on a cold winter day

Trees stand without leaves for which they decay

Skies full of clouds even beautiful when gray

Jackets filled up with fur for the negative temperatures

Are great for cold and the wind winter brings

Montreal winters are painfully beautiful

To ice skate on lakes makes it unique

Snow here is the softest white powder

Which covers the city like a white blanket

What may bring joy to the youth, makes grown ups feel blue

A tall city stands silent on a cold winter day
