Mood Indigo

My control is not a control

So my change can't be a change.

My new is too neutral

My blue too blue and clue

less.

So we say my change is a changling

girl who refuses to see the sun

I see her indigo summer

and whisper a swift thank you

to a charge that may

change

Leoma

Lucy writes for herself because she is a selfish poet, but she sometimes stretches a bit and includes others, too. She is a senior in highschool in Chico, California, has won poetry contests in the local newspaper multiple times, and has had her poetry published in her school's poetry anthology multiple times. She hopes to use her poetry to inspire other selfish poets and keep herself sane.
