The Moon
You are the moon
That lights my night
A gleam of silver so bright
I dream all day for one more glance
A heart of emptiness but then a chance
To be with the moon brightened me too
And so I fell and realized you
Were the ocean
Deep and vast waiting to be explored
My heart wanted to be yours
So I gave it upon you to hold
But the water became cold
And I realized you were a snake
Beauty became pain
I gave you my heart in vain
Because to you it was chance
How fast to make my heart dance
To make me believe
That you were more than to be seen
It is my fault really
I allowed for myself
To want one who disappears so soon
And every night I look at you, the moon.
