At ev’ry distance across the globe
Tis only as big as thy thumb
Deep in my memory my thoughts do probe
As a chill begs my fingers go numb

To the nip of the night I shall not succumb
For the blood in my breast doth yet boil
The thought of your touch turns my heart to a drum
Though the ache of the sea strains its toil

The distance afar, our love it did spoil
Separated through time and space
To only thee I remain ever loyal
Entertaining no other embrace

Unto that great orb I align my gaze
Hoping thy too doth mimic my ways
