The Moon

A silver crescent hangs in the sky

Like an ornament on a Christmas tree

It shines so bright, providing the light,

Needed for all to see

The brightness of that cratered sphere

Reflects upon the ocean below

The perfect white round shape of it

Adds a beauty like no other to this world

Coming in all shapes and forms

And never staying the same,

You realize that it’s just like you,

Changing a little every day.
