To the Moon and Back

Our relationship is complicated,

but don't think think it's understated.

Our love is so true that,

no one can ever take it.

We both remain honest because we know it's not right,

To hide the secrets that make us cry at night.

With him I don't need the materials things,

But only the laughter and sunshine that his presence brings.

 For the friendship we have is what makes us strong,

When we're both broken we have each other to lean on.

He looks past my flaws and only sees perfection,

That's why he earns all of my affection.

Loyalty is what we hold dear and true,

Hoping we'll treasure each other's words " I love you".

 The struggle with trust is hard because of his past,

But I know without trust we could never last.

Because I love him to the moon and back,

I'll always treat him right and that's a fact.
