The Moon and I
Nightfall oh nightfall how I love thee
The sounds of the crickets soothes me
The sounds of water rushing from the ever flowing waterfall
Leads me to the beauty of the night, the beauty who I love
The beauty of which I call the moon
Entrapped in the beautiful light that makes my skin look as if it glows
I find comfort in the different phases or cycles it goes through
The cycles and phases remind me of the transition from childhood to adulthood
The moon reminds me of how we are ever changing and always moving
I long to be up there with the moon to just stay next to it for all eternity
But alas I only carry the moon across the night sky
I long to not just be Selene the Moon Goddess
I long to be Selene, One with the Moon
Astronomy always seemed like a good fit gives me an excuse to watch the moon longer
Thoughts of going in to what humans call space; to finally touch the moon would be euphoric
Hopefully, I can pass the torch to the Goddess of the Hunt, Artemis
So finally I can be free and be one with my love, the ever-glowing Moon.
