Moon Child

Crunching bones, shifting muscles.  Sweet pain, pure release.
Fur flows, silver-tipped black; like distant stars in a midnight sky.
Heavy paws strike the dirt; freedom abounds.
Newly elongated muzzle in the air; a howl splits the silent night.
Moon child runs for her freedom.
Beautiful danger, lonely beast........
Wolf
