Moon Devours Me

I don't need a reason, I'd rather pretend;

rather see a vision, than recognize.

Now is overrated, then is drowned in time;

new is long awaited, that I devise.

Seasons can blur together what once told the tale;

I try to change the motion, to improvise.

When everything turns gray, I choose to hide away;

when nothing shines the light, I close my eyes.

When I fall asleep

I dream the moon devours me

and I am sinking in her sea

of possibility.

And with each breath I feel

a turning wheel

that keeps the real in my reality

So I carefully rewind.
