The Moon shines like a ray of hope on a warm summer night

Upon the moonlit alpine trail

A willow swims free in the breeze

and wisps of cockerel tail

Flit amongst the trees.

The stars they shine like twinkle toe

On silver running brooks

And in the dawn, gold in the morn

Go babbling little brooks.
