A Moon Surrounded by Stars

She shines bright

Like the moon

Stars twinkling

In her eyes

And yet no one sees

That those stars

Are starting to

Collapse

One by one

They blink out

Of existence

All of those

Stars

Being smothered

With the absolute

Darkness

From her grief

The only parts

That remain

Of those stars

Are the tears

That fall from

Her eyes

Once those stars

All near collapse

She’ll shine brighter

Than ever before

Because a star

Shines at it’s

Brightest

Just before

It dies
