Moonlight

Her hand is swift as it moves

Across the dried parchment,

The ink moonlight

And the words an angel's hymn.

The moon shines brightly

Through the window,

A candle at her side

And wods on a paper.

With gossamer hair

And skin like silk,

With eyes not unlike the stars

She sang softly-a lullaby.

Sleep, little child, don't you worry

Angels watch over you night and day.

She danced with joy

As she left in the moonligjt,

Returning to her home

Far in the heavens.

And where her hand had once moved swiftly

Over dried parchment,

Ink like moonlight

And wodrs like an angel's hymn.
