Moonlit Night
In the silvery light of a moonlit night,
A mouse runs for cover, hiding in fright
The trees lose their color
Everything is gray, all the same to one another
Mama bear cuddles her cubs close to her
A wolf hunkers down cleaning his fur
The owl alerts all it’s time to sleep
The raccoon is up finding food to keep
A squirrel packs her last acorn in the fading bright
All in the silvery light of a moonlit night.
