Moons blessing

I asked for the moons blessing

when she waxed bright full

I asked her for her silver

For her cool rays and peace

I asked her for her gold

at the harvest feast

I asked her for her blood

when the sun shades her light

I asked her for her darkness

when she hides her face

I asked her for her love

and her golden embrace

For the moon is my mother

she lights my way home

She is my friend in darkness

So I don't feel alone
