More Than

I am more than the box you put me in.

I am more than my coarse hair and my nose flairs.

I am more than my wide hips and my full lips.

I am more than the color of my skin

Or the protuberance of my chest.

I am my thoughts, my words, my ideas.

I am my heart, my soul, my love.

I am the gravitational pull.

Do not try to confine me to your ideals.

Because I am more.
