More
Some say
I am
The spitting image
Of my mother—
Tan skin,
Petite frame,
We’re the same.
Some say
I am
The most intelligent
In the school—
Valedictorian,
Straight A’s,
Stressed days.
Some say
I am
The mother hen
To my friends—
Responsible,
Constant care,
Always there.
I say
I am
Wondering soul,
Complex mind,
Tired of coloring
Inside
The
Lines.
I am
More.
