More Green

When my head turns to the right and I gaze out the window I see an eerie marsh

Its lonely boats and different tides leave behind a scent so distinct and harsh
To know such a sight could be seen on the outskirts of such a busy city
The quiet serenity of nature left behind by industries pity
The bittersweet of big cities and miles of tall glass skyscrapers
Almost as if those huge monuments could not be tapered
But for millions of years nothing stood but natures image
Yet we destroy and put up the artificial things we think deserve homage
Nothing could break the earth not even a massive volcanos rupture
Maybe this is why we crave green as we breath in the smoke of the future
