More Than Just A Human

I am more than just another human wandering the world

I have a destination

In the clouds the wind wrote my journey

I am more than just another human with goals

I have finish lines to cross

The whips left by humanity buried deep in my heart are my reminder

I am more than just another human with a past

I have history written with bittersweet tears and laughter

The soft lullaby of my childhood, a scratch record to my conscience

I am more than just another human living in the moment

I have a burning torch for a soul

The phoenix caged inside yearns to fly with the calls of distant land and opportunities

I am more than just another human breathing

I have the roar of a lion

The imprisoned dreams made me their representative

I am more than just another human laughing

I have to heal

The stab of a whisper and the mischief of words

I am more than just another human taking up space

I have a future to build

Wisdom, hope, courage, faith, and perseverance are my tools

I am more than just a human

I was made with a purpose

The sun, the moon, the stars, the sky and the earth all witness my Creator as he sculpted me with precision and lit the fire that is my soul

An endless flame that will lead the world out of its darkness
